INS RANVIR ARRIVES AT CHATTOGRAM, BANGLADESH


Indian Naval Ship Ranvir, of the Eastern Fleet under the aegis of the Eastern Naval Command arrived at Chattogram, Bangladesh on 29 Jul 24 as part of an Operational Deployment. The ship was accorded a warm welcome by the Bangladesh Navy. The visit by the ship comes just after the state visit of Ms Sheikh Hasina, Prime Minister of Bangladesh to India from 21 - 22 Jun 24.

GENERAL MANOJ PANDE RELINQUISHES THE APPOINTMENT OF CHIEF OF THE ARMY STAFF

General Manoj Pande, superannuated today after more than four decades of distinguished service and relinquished the appointment of the Chief of the Army Staff (COAS). His tenure will be remembered for high state of combat readiness, impetus to the process of transformation besides his strong push towards Atmanirbharta initiatives. General Manoj Pande, as COAS accorded highest priority to operational preparedness along the Northern and Western borders. General Upendra Dwivedi takes over as Chief of Army Staff

General Upendra Dwivedi, PVSM, AVSM assumed charge as the 30th Chief of Army Staff (COAS) today. General Upendra Dwivedi is an accomplished military leader with over 40 years of service in the Armed Forces. General Dwivedi is an alumnus of Sainik School, Rewa (Madhya Pradesh). He was commissioned into the Regiment of Jammu and Kashmir Rifles in 1984. General Dwivedi has a unique experience of balanced Command as well as Staff exposure in Northern, Eastern and Western Theatres of Operations in varied operational environments.

Central government will launch special campaign to redress the grievances of pensioners

A special campaign for grievance redressal of family pensioners will be launched on Monday by the Central Government.
